Meet Our Team

Scott & Nancy Hodges, the “Home Team” of Best Choice Real Estate, Brookings #1 real estate company, are   co-owners of Creative Properties, LLC, the developer of Valley View.

Scott has been involved full-time in the real estate business for over 30 years (since 1977) in Brookings and has been actively involved in home sales, real estate development, and newhome construction for most of his career.  Nancy, Scott’s wife of nearly 25 years, joined him 15 years ago as his full-time real estate assistant and real estate team member. Together they are the top producers of Brookings largest, most productive  real estate company. 

Scott graduated from South Dakota State University in Brookings in 1976 where he studied Political Science and Economics. Nancy graduated from Minnesota State – Mankato in 1982 with a degree in Business Administration.  They have a son currently attending South Dakota State University and a daughter at Brookings High School.

Together, they recognized the need for quality, attractive, affordable homes in Brookings which would offer energy efficiency, low maintenance exteriors and a price which would be within reach of many. Valley View is their result of years of research and development of a master-planned community to offer those exact features to Brookings residents.

Keith and Cathy Rounds, the owners of Rounds Construction Co. Inc., Brookings, are co-owners of Creative Properties, LLC, the developer of Valley View.

Keith has been involved in the earth moving construction industry for over 30 years. Keith began his career with his father in-law's company, building and designing highways, industrial and commercial sites, land improvement and wastewater treatment facilities. Cathy, Keith's wife of over 30 years, joined him in 1992 as they launched their own company, Rounds Construction Co. Inc., with a genuine concern for customers and a commitment to standing behind their work. Keith and Cathy are well known for their expertise in the design and earth sculpting of most of the large scale residential developments within Brookings. Their partnership with the Hodges and development of Creative Properties, LLC was a natural expansion of their collaborative expertise.

Cathy and Keith both graduated from South Dakota State University in Brookings in 1977. Cathy recieved a Graduate degree in 1980 and joined her alma mater as an administrator within SDSU's Office of Student Affairs. Their oldest son graduated from SDSU and their younger son is attending college in Nebraska. Their daughter is a Middle School student.

Keith and Cathy are excited and proud to be instrumental in the research and development of Valley View Homes, a community of exceptional quality homes designed to be within reach for many families.
